My Scars
by Jason Greiner
My scars are on the inside
You cannot feel them on my arms
You cannot see them on my face
Nor can you touch them on my chest
Or anyplace else you may caress
Buried beneath my veins
They're ingrained within my bones
And have hardened over time
But can never really heal
Despite all of this
I'd never give them up
Never wish them gone or never bone
For they are me
And I, molded by them
